Raindrops are not teardrops.

I’ve finished another comic, so I thought I’d just post it right up there. You know, for your convenience.

This is the beginning of a new storyline, and the introduction of a new character. I know what you’re thinking to yourselves right now – but I barely know the rest of the cast. It is true, I have been neglecting strong characterizations in favor of gags and equitable air time for the whole cast – NO MORE! Now is the time to strike the balance! Now we learn what makes these little folks really tick. Where they live (that dorm up there, by the way), and what is up with the school they don’t attend.

I’ve also been neglecting really using this space to communicate to my numerous readers…uh…more than ten, anyway. I haven’t always been a big on talking about the comics I make in the same context they’re presented in, but I suppose it’s time to break that little bad habit. This is a modern world, and webcomics are about transparency. You, my friends, are in on the joke. You choose to spend valuable time consuming this comic. So let’s talk about it, eh? Fire up that comments section! Welcome all comers and be not bashful! But remember- you can be mean to me, but not each other. That’ll get you booted. And don’t forget that blog entries appear below the newest comic! Scan the site or subscribe using the handy-dandy rss feed.

Thanks for reading!

Luv,

J

“yippeeeee!” I love that Been is out playing the lightening storm. The rain looks great!

  2. Gregory says:

Who doesn’t want to play with lightening?
I mean, besides those who get nausea from it.

  3. Sam says:

Perhaps word balloons pointing toward the house in the first panel may help establish that they are in it.
The rain does look nice and I really like the lightening strike panel. Lovely as always.

  4. admin says:

Yeah, it might. I was hoping it would be apparent from the connective ellipsis that Anton was the one speaking in the first two caption squares.

I’ve never drawn rain before! It’s scary as hell!

  5. Kevin says:

When’s a book coming out?! I want to read all of your stuff, but I’m an analog man and don’t read comics online …
