Hey all, just wanted to drop a quick line filling you in. The comic is still on pace for my usual late update this Thursday – but it’s possible I might get behind. You see, we’re moving about 1200 or so miles this time next week, and there’s a fair amount of packing and planning going on. I’ve got a strategy to keep up my updates, but it’s still a precarious thing. Just bear with me while I uproot my life and head westward to the Chicago suburbs.
Meanwhile, I’ve slowly been tackling a redesign strategy for the website.
This is the new header I’m working on. It’ll be a bit more filled in, maybe some color, but you get the gist of it.
And this is the icon that came out of playing around with the typography I made for the new title.
What you guys think? Feedback is good thing…
Later,
J

Thats a pretty dope logo. Normally I hate typography due to have a boiling pot of comic sans accidentally dumped on me when I was a little kid, but this looks pretty good..
Wow, I didnt know you were moving. Haley says she’s excited.
Ooh, I like. I’d have been tempted to add in a Lovecraftian horror in there somewhere, but, really, that would be too much.
That looks great. i could definately see that on a t-shirt or shot glass.
Like!! I’m a big fan of the plain black and white header myself, but I’m sure it’d be great with color too. Also you still need a new “latest” button grrr :F
rockin’ it!
i like them.
Sorry Taylor. That little button has been hanging over my head forever. It’ll get done soon, promise.
I really like the full “Billy the dunce” logo. Remember that, now stay with me…
That said, I think the “B” is a bit confusing at first glance; initially I thought it was a lowercase “b” with some kind of bowler hat on top of it. It wasn’t until I saw the (rockin’ super-sweet) “B” icon that I made the connection. I don’t think you should change it, though, because even though I didn’t immediately grok the whole thing immediately the whole thing was still very legible even if misunderstood by my stoopid eyes and the retroactive connection I made once I saw the logo (which would look very cool on a shot glass or power ring or something) made my brain feel smart.
